Teacher Trainers
Teacher Trainers have Advanced Accreditation in their instrument and have been selected and appointed Trainers capable of training Suzuki teachers. Teacher Trainers also teach children across all book levels. Teachers with this level of accreditation, who are current financial members of Suzuki Music in Victoria, are licensed to call themselves a Suzuki teacher.
Advanced Level Teachers
Advanced Level training covers Books 8 to beyond the published repertoire in the Suzuki Curriculum, and relevant pedagogical studies. Accredited teachers have successfully completed all Advanced level written and practical training assessments. Teachers with this level of accreditation, who are current financial members of Suzuki Music in Victoria, are licensed to call themselves a Suzuki teacher. They are permitted to teach students at any level. It is the responsibility of the parent to select the teacher who is the best fit for their child.
Intermediate Level Teachers
Intermediate Level training covers Books 5-7 in the Suzuki Curriculum and relevant pedagogical studies. Accredited teachers have successfully completed all Intermediate level written and practical training assessments. Teachers with this level of accreditation, who are current financial members of Suzuki Music in Victoria, are licensed to call themselves a Suzuki teacher. They are permitted to teach students at any level, including repertoire beyond book levels trained. It is the responsibility of the parent to select the teacher who is the best fit for their child.
Primary Level Teachers
Primary Level training covers Books 1-4 in the Suzuki Curriculum and relevant pedagogical studies. Accredited teachers have successfully completed all written and practical training assessments. Teachers with this level of accreditation, who are current financial members of Suzuki Music in Victoria, are licensed to call themselves a Suzuki teacher. Approved Teacher in Training
Currently in training – Approved Teachers have completed training in Book 1 in addition to an entry interview and audition, observation of Suzuki lessons and written assignments. They are approved to begin teaching Suzuki students in order to continue their training and development and progress to assessment for Suzuki Teacher Accreditation.
